MEDICATION Announce Album Title, Push Back EP Release Date

March 6, 2002

Los Angeles-based MEDICATION, who feature in their ranks former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader, ex-UGLY KID JOE/LIFE OF AGONY vocalist Whitfield Crane, ex-ADAYINTHELIFE guitarist Blunt, and ex-THE PIECE DOGS bassist Kyle Sanders, have set Prince Valium as the title of their forthcoming debut full-length album, which is currently being produced by Bob Marlette for a June 24th release through Locomotive Records. In addition, the band have reportedly pushed back the release of their much-anticipated self-titled EP to May 27th through the same label, although this remains unconfirmed at this time.

As previously reported, MEDICATION have been joined by former GUNS N' ROSES and current A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese during the aforementioned recording sessions, while AMEN sticksman Shannon Larkin will handle the drumming duties during the band's upcoming live performances until the group have secured a permanent replacement for the recently-departed Roy Mayorga (currently in SOULFLY). MEDICATION are currently scheduled to perform at Domsport in Kln-Deutz, Germany on March 19th, at the Hard Rock Awards show (sponsored by the French metal magazine Hard Rock) in Paris, France on March 21st and at the Key club in West Hollywood, California on March 23rd.
